Browsing data: like any website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used only to keep the site secure and working.

Data you send us: if you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we use your name, contact details and message only to reply to you.

Booking data: when you book online, we collect your name, email, phone number and stay details. Payments are processed by Stripe: we never see or store your card details.

Guest documents: Italian law (art. 109 TULPS) requires us to collect the identity details of every guest and report them to the State Police through the "Alloggiati Web" system.

Why we use your data (legal basis)

to manage your booking and your stay (performance of a contract);

to meet legal obligations: police reporting, tourist tax, tax and accounting records;

to keep the website secure (legitimate interest).

We do not use your data for profiling and we do not sell it to anyone.

Only those who help us provide the service or to whom we are required by law to send it: our booking software provider (Hostex), our payment provider (Stripe), our hosting provider, the State Police (Alloggiati Web), the Municipality of Syracuse (tourist tax). Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

Booking data is kept for as long as needed to manage your stay and then for the period required by tax law (up to 10 years). Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer you. Identity data is used only to fulfil the police reporting obligation.

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format, by writing to info@casabellomo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

This website uses only technical cookies, needed for the site and the online booking system to work (for example, to remember that you have closed the cookie notice and to complete a booking and payment). These cookies do not require your consent. We do not use profiling or advertising cookies.

Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Airbnb, Booking.com, Facebook and Instagram take you to external websites, which have their own privacy and cookie policies.

You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings; blocking technical cookies may prevent online booking from working properly.
